Mayfest Chicago in Lincoln Square

Looking for a little culture topped off with a mug of cold beer and some live music? Mayfest (Maifest auf Deutsch) celebrates the arrival of spring each year in Chicago’s very own Lincoln Square. If you are looking for something more than the typical street fair with ordinary draft beer, make Mayfest part of your Date Night plans. My husband and I include it in ours. We may even make it a “Date Day” this year.

Located at the intersection of Lincoln and Leland, Mayfest begins this year on Thursday, June 3rd @ 5:00 pm running through Sunday, the 6th. Enjoy some authentic polka on Friday evening with the Polkaholics or dance to some oldies on Saturday, The Captain Blood Orchestra will be on Main Stage starting at 7:00pm.

Enjoy some great German food, dance around the Maypole, finish a stein of truly great German beer. You’ll be so glad you stopped by.
